Scott Township promotes Walker to sergeant

At the Scott Township Board of Commissioners meeting on June 24:
• The board voted to promote Scott police officer Dan Walker to sergeant, effective July 6, 2014.
• The board approved spending an additional $16,051.50 to coordinate paving with the Pennsylvania American Water Company for work on Kismet and Hill Street.
• The board authorized the township’s fire departments to prepare an RFP for a new ladder truck.
• The board voted to advertise a public hearing, scheduled for August 26 at 6:30 p.m., for the township’s proposed zoning ordinance.
