Kudos to John Alan Kosky and his well written letter last week on South Fayette financing status. We could use more watchdogs like him.

His statement that “opportunity is knocking at our door” couldn’t be better said. South Fayette badly needs new resources to lighten the load, especially those residents who don’t have kids in the school system. I don’t wish to leave this wonderful, award-winning township, but without new economic business growth, many will be looking or even forced to move due to the strenuous heavy tax burden that grows yearly. Understandable, but we residents can’t continue to be the mules.

Local, regional and state officials were hired to do the hard work of opening up new channels of revenue. Now is the time to roll up your sleeves and do whatever is necessary to bring in new economic growth. With the new corridor and interchange coming through South Fayette, what a prime opportunity to bring new development we have been so lacking and sorely needing.
