Bethel students to play in PMEA band concert

Five Bethel Park School District musicians successfully auditioned and have been selected to play in the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association’s Junior High District Band Concert, which will be held on Feb. 23 at South Fayette High School.

Representing Bethel Park in this event will be Bethel Park High School freshmen Rachel Dimmock (flute) and Zach Sedor (alto saxophone), as well as Independence Middle School eighth-graders Ken Barnhart (French horn), Maria Jay (French horn) and Jon Lucchiti (tuba).

The Bethel Park High School students are taught by music teacher Jonathan Derby and the Independence Middle School students are taught by music teacher Michael Petrossi.
