The Jewish Community Center (JCC) of Greater Pittsburgh will present its seventh annual Big Night, Time of Our Lives at 7:30 p.m. March 9 at the JCC located at 5738 Forbes Avenue, Squirrel Hill.

The ’80s theme will include music and dancing, food and drink, amusements and an MTV Lounge. There will be two raffles – for a $7,500 Henne Jewelers Shopping Spree and an A&L 2-year BMW Lease. A silent auction with smart-phone remote bidding will include vacation packages, unique art, jewelry and designer accessories, and dining and entertainment packages.

A party bus will shuttle partygoers from the JCC South Hills in Scott Township.

Big Night raises a large portion of the JCC’s Annual Fund for scholarships and to support critical programming such as child and after-school care for special needs and older adults programs.

Nationally renown Spelman College Jazz Ensemble is coming to Pittsburgh as part of the Afro American Music Institute (AAMI) 30th Anniversary Celebration.

The all-female jazz ensemble will take the stage at 7 p.m. March 11 at the Kelly Strayhorn Theater, 5941 Penn Ave., Pittsburgh.

The Butterfly Bandits will hold Happy Hour for a Cure to help raise money for thyroid cancer research.

The event will take place from 7-9 p.m. March 21 at Cain’s Saloon on West Liberty Avenue in Dormont.

Local, a Pittsburgh-based acoustic trio specializing in unique cover interpretations as well as original music, will entertain.

Join the Pirate Parrot for appetizers and desserts, a Chinese auction and mini massages and facials provided by Massage Envy.

A $15 donation is requested. All proceeds benefit thyroid cancer research – UPCI Multidisciplinary Thyroid Cancer Research Center and Butterfly Bandits patient education fund.
