Andrew Rich of McMurray gained All-America honors during the NCAA Division III national swimming championships held in Shenandoah, Texas. The Denison University junior placed 13th in the 200 individual medley and ninth in the 100 butterfly. He was also a member of two All-America relay teams: the 200 (ninth) and 400 medley (sixth).
In his third appearance at nationals, Rich scored 13 points for the Big Red, which placed second with 383 points. This was Denison’s 10th consecutive top-3 finish at the Division III championships and the program’s 10th second-place finish at nationals. This year, Denison won two event national championships, logged 16 top-8 finishes and 29 All-America performances.
