Bethel Park’s Chloe McDaniels and Upper St. Clair’s Jackie Bell shared Western Pennsylvania Volleyball Coaches Association’s Player of the Week honors with Moon’s Molly Simmons and Hempfield’s Liz Tapper.
A senior middle hitter, McDaniels has the Black Hawks ranked No. 8 in Quad-A while Bell, a senior outside hitter, has the Panthers in the No. 10 slot.
South Fayette is ranked No. 4 in Class 3A.
In 2A, South Park and Seton LaSalle are No. 4 and No. 6, respectively.
Elliot Elephant, a junior setter, has paced the Eagles and was named Player of the Week in 2A.
Bishop Canevin remained the top-ranked team in Class A heading into the final week of section action.
The playoffs commence Oct. 26 with the WPIAL championships set for Nov. 6 at Robert Morris University.
